Teacher: Phil Parsons and Stacey Rogers

Teaching Assistant: Denise Burridge,

Taw Class has one large, modern classroom in the school which is shared by Reception and Key Stage 1. We also have three adjoining rooms which are used for different aspects of the Reception/Key Stage 1 curriculum. We have a small outside space that is always accessible to the children in Reception. Pre-school children have their own area outside but also share space with reception children.

Adults who work in Taw class, including the volunteers, take pride in their knowledge of the children's learning needs. As a relatively small class, we aim to offer the children a learning environment that is suited to them, allowing them to feel comfortable, happy and ready to learn.

Through regular ‘stay and play sessions’, home visits and ‘taster days’ during the summer term, we build links with children starting school.
